My husband has the day off from work today so he is helping me decorate our final room of the house that we moved into three-years-three-months ago! We have saved our bedroom for last because it requires five curtain rods. *Myrtle Beach Golf*
In October I wrote about the trip Joe & I took to Chicago, checking out the suburbs as a possible place to move. We also want to check out the Carolinas before we make a decision because both of us fell in love with that area on a vacation in 2005. I have been to a lot of places in my life, and the Carolinas are my favorite states! I don't think the scenery can get anymore beautiful.
Our plan is to fly to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and then after we soak up the sun, rent a car to drive the three-and-a-half hours to Raleigh, North Carolina where there are job possibilities for Joe.
I have been wanting to visit Myrtle Beach for several years. My husband is excited, too, because he loves to golf and there is a place that lets you book your tee times and accommodations at the same time: http://www.myrtlebeachgolf.net There are also Myrtle Beach golf packages. My husband hasn't been able to golf for a few months because it's too cold now in Nebraska, but this week temperatures are in the 70's in Myrtle Beach! *Butcher Blocks And More*
When my husband and I first bought our patio furniture in 2004 we were very careful to bring it in before even the smallest rain drop, and we kept it very clean. Then in 2008 or 2009 we got lazy (or rather, the opposite -- we had a child!) and we began leaving it out through the seasons (except winter) and so it's not in as good of shape as it was 6 yrs ago. In a few years we'll probably be ready to buy some new furniture. I love the look of adirondack chairs! They come in all shapes, sizes, and styles!
I also like utility sinks, so it is possible we could replace our current white kitchen sink with a stainless steel sink like what we had in our previous house. It was very easy to keep clean and helped our kitchen look classy.
Finally, I would love a butcher block. Not only are they beautiful, but they provide storage and give you extra space! Whether it's a standing island, kitchen island and cart, butcher block table, or counter top -- I could use them all.
