McCaffrey has called the
Afghanistan allies to beg pardon
from Pakistan for Nato air strike
at a checkpost in which 24
soldiers were killed. According to
media reports General McCaffrey
said the Nato alliance should
accept its mistake and tender
apology to Pakistan over the
deadly incident. Pakistan
cooperation has been must for
success in Afghanistan. The
supplies to the Nato forces, if
stopped permanently, will make
difficult to continue the Afghan
operation, the US former general
said. He advised the allies to pay
a compensation if necessary, to
end discontent of Pakistan to
restore supplies to the Nato
forces in Afghanistan.
